FAQ

How can your services help me?
Whether you are looking for a one-time review or an ongoing partnership my services will help you achieve your goals. I will review your taxes, investments, real estate holdings, insurance and more to ensure that they are all functioning as they should to provide you with the greatest return possible. Since each person’s situation is unique the best way to find out how I can help is to contact me for a free consultation.

What does fee-only mean?
As a fee-only financial advisor I am compensated solely by the fees that my clients pay for my advice. I do not sell products or receive commissions. This type of arrangement removes any conflict of interest that may occur when an advisor stands to gain from selling a certain type of product or recommending a particular investment.

What is holistic financial planning?
Holistic financial planning is a comprehensive and life-integrated approach to your finances. It incorporates all areas of your financial life to ensure they are working together to achieve results that reflect your goals, values and priorities.

What is a fiduciary?
As a fiduciary I am legally required to put my clients’ best interests first. This means that you can feel confident that the advice you receive is not influenced by anything other than what I feel will benefit you the most. Click on the following link to learn more about the fiduciary standard.

Do you have minimum client requirements?
While there is no minimum net worth requirement I have found that clients who possess the following traits achieve the greatest success:

  • Willing to set financial goals which you have a passion to achieve
  • Have moderate to great control over your spending or are committed to developing a budget/spending plan
  • Value an advisor’s professional expertise and integrity as well as his or her ability to make complex subjects understandable
  • Have patience – you want to build wealth not gamble on “quick financial fixes”

Are you regulated?
I am registered with the Indiana Secretary of State–Securities Division. Upon request I will provide the Form ADV, Part II which provide more detail about Piedmont Financial Advisors.

Who manages my investments?
While investment advisory is part of the comprehensive level of service, you are not under any obligation to proceed with my recommendations. While I will monitor the progress of your investments, they are managed by a third party custodian and you are in complete control of the accounts at all time.
